Homemade Tomato Sauce 自制蕃茄酱




Above is the picture illustration on how to make homemade tomato sauce.  I think it is a very good recipe to save into my recipe collection.  Below is the ingredient and method :

Ingredients :
Ripe tomato

Seasoning :
Vinegar
Sugar (I use brown sugar)
Salt (optional) I didn't use salt
**  Tips : Adjust the sweet and sourness base on your own preference.

Method :

  • Wash ripe tomato and cross cut it as per picture above in order can easily remove the skin later
  • Boil water in a pan.  Once boiling, stir in all ready tomato into the boiling water and keep stirring for 1-2 mins.
  • Transfer all tomato to a bowl of cold water and remove the skin of the tomato
  • Cut into small cubes and blend it
  • Transfer the tomato puree to a frying pan and keep stirring with lowest heat until the texture look thicker.  Add seasoning base on your own preference.
  • After done, transfer your homemade tomato sauce to a clean bottle.  I prefer to put all the sauce into a glass bottle.

Boysenberry Yogurt & Prunes

My girl love ice-cream.  I don't wish to let her eat too much ice cream.  So I prepared this yogurt last night for her as a dessert and bring to school.  I use my SEED Mini Yogurt Maker SD-699 . I love this yogurt maker because I don't need to make a big batch of yogurt.

Potato Minced Pork Steam Egg 马铃薯肉碎蒸水蛋


I believe all mummies have the same wish as me.  I always wish my LO love the meal I have prepared for her everyday.

When I prepared this for my girl, she request for somemore when finished her 1st plate.  This is superb fast and easy recipe.

Ingredients :
Minced pork (Marinated with corn flour, sesame oil, water, pinch of salt and liquid amino)
Small potato (cut into small cubes)
1 egg
2 tbsp water

Topping decoration :
Basil leave
Dried parsley

Method :
Put all ingredients to steam for 45 mins.  After done, decorate the topping with above topping ingredients as per the picture.

I use my SEED Electric Lunch Box SD-975 to cook it. So one pot I use to steam rice and the other pot I use to steam egg.


Cheesy Steam Rice with Minced Pork & Bell Pepper 肉碎青椒奶酪蒸饭



After back from vacation, I start again my daily routine to prepare nice homemade meal for my lovely daughter.  This recipe i use my SEED SD-966 ceramic steam pot and SEED SD-967 base to cook it. 

Ingredients :
Garlic clove
Small red onion
Minced pork
Red chilli (cut into small pieces)
Green bell pepper (cut into small pieces)
Mixed brown rice grains
Garlic powder

Marinate sauce :
Sesame oil
Water
Corn flour
Pinch of salt
Liquid amino

Topping :
Grated natural cheese
Parmesan cheese
Dried parsley 


Method :
  • Soak rice grains with hot water
  • Marinate minced pork with marinate sauce
  •  Transfer all ready ingredients to steam pot and top up with topping ingredients.  Steam for around 45mins - 1 hour.

Steam Potato with Meatball 马铃薯蒸肉丸



Make this simple steam meatball dishes for my LO today.  Long time she didn't eat potato, so I steam it with potato.  She love it so much.  Here is the recipe :

Ingredients :
Minced meat with spring onion
Potato (cut into cubes)
Garlic
Red Chili

Marinate ingredients :
Corn flour
Pinch of salt
Sesame oil
Liquid amino

Method :
  • Marinate minced meat with marinate ingredients.  
  • Shape minced meat with spring onion into small balls.
  • Top up with potatos and red chili.
  • Steam for 1 hour together with rice in electric lunch box. I use my SD-967 electric lunch box to steam it.

Steam Black Pepper Potato Lamb Shoulder 马铃薯蒸羊肉 / Lamb Shoulder Soup 羊肉炖汤

Today I need to do a demo for my SEED Electric Lunch Box SD-975 (Click for more info).  So I introduce you guys 2 recipes for lamb shoulder.  Trust me, this really taste so good!




Ingredients :

Lamb shoulder 羊肉
Potato 马铃薯
Red chili 红辣椒

Marinate sauce :

Dark soy sauce 黑酱油
Black pepper sauce 黑胡椒酱
Sesame oil 芝麻油
Corn flour 玉米粉
Light soy sauce (I use liquid amino) 酱油
Pinch of salt 盐
Garlic (cut into small pieces) 蒜
Appropriate water

Method :
  • Cook lamb shoulder meat in a boiling water for 2 minutes to get rid of the blood water of the meat.
  • Marinated lamb shoulder with marinate ingredients above. 
  • Top up with potato and red pepper.
  • Steam for 1 hr - 1.5 hrs. (1 hr the meat already soft)



Ingredients :

Lamb shoulder 羊肉
Half garlic 半颗蒜
Water 水
Bone soup herbs pack 香料

Seasoning :
Oyster sauce 蚝油
Light soy sauce ( I use liquid amino) 酱油
Salt 盐
Dark soy sauce 黑酱油

Below is the bone soup herbs pack :

Method :
  • Cook lamb shoulder in a boiling water for few seconds to get rid of the blood water.  Drain and set aside
  • Put herbs pack to the bottom of the steam pot
  • Add in cooked lamb shoulder as well as half garlic
  • Add some black pepper 
  • Transfer to steamer to steam for 1.5 hrs.

Black Pepper Fish Steam Rice 黑胡椒鱼肉煲仔饭




I love this steam rice and trust me, this is really good!  I serve it with my little girl so I didn't put much black pepper sauce.  Here is the ingredients and method below :

Ingredients :
Pearl Rice
Garlic clove
Small red onion
Garlic butter
Half carrot
1 mushroom
Broccoli
Marinated Fish fillet (in cubes)

Marinated sauce :
Black pepper sauce
Oyster sauce
Sesame oil
Basil leaves 
Liquid amino / light soy sauce
Pinch of salt

Method :
  • Marinate fish fillet with marinate sauce ingredients.  Set aside
  • Wash pearl rice and add appropriate water (ratio for rice : water = 1 : less than 1). Set aside
  • Ready all ingredients and cut into small pieces.
  • Transfer all ready ingredients except broccoli to steam pot.  (I use my SEED SD-966 ceramic steam pot)
  • Set timer to 1 hour.  After 30mins steaming, add in broccoli and let it continue to steam until done.

Super Soft Steam Butter Cake



I am so happy that I successfully done my steam butter cake so can let my little dragon bring to nursery tomorrow because she loves cakes!  This recipe i adapted from mummy Jennifer Lee's blog, but I use steam cook method by my SEED Electric Lunch Box SD-967.  Above is the picture illustration how to do it by using steam cook method.  The ingredients and method you can get it from mummy Jennifer's blog (Click here for the link) .   For those who want to steam by using your SEED Electric Lunch Box as me, the batter ingredients you cut half will be equal to 1 pot size of Seed Electric Lunch Box SD-967 as per the picture illustration above.  Well, happy trying ! I'm sure you and your LO will love this recipe.  It is super soft and taste fantastic!  You don't need to worry your LO will be heaty as this is using steam cook method instead of bake.  So, eat healthy and no worries!

Cheese Melting Tomato Rice




What is the most popular recipe in Facebook recently?  Yes, you are right!  It is steam tomato rice.  I've edited a bit in my version and i added my favorite ingredients as well as cheese and i named it as "Cheese Melting Tomato Rice".  I done all the steam cook recipes by using my SEED Electric Lunch Box at home. Well, above is the picture illustration how to prepare it and here is the recipe below :

Ingredients :
Mixed rice grains (Pearl rice, buckwheat, red lentils)
2 garlic cloves 
1 small red onion
Sesame oil
1 tomato 
1 dried shiitake mushroom
Baby carrot (cut into small cubes)
Half potato (cut into small cubes)
Marinated pork meat 
Cheese (I use cowhead natural cheese block)

Marinate Sauce :
Corn flour
Pinch of salt
Light soy sauce (I use liquid amino)
Dried parsley
1/2 tsp blackpepper sauce (optional)  I use Lee Kum Kee brand. 

Topping :
Dried parsley

Method :
  • In a steam pot wash mixed rice grains and soak it with hot water.  Set aside. (Ratio rice : water = 1 : less than 1)
  • Cut all the ingredients into small cubes except cheese
  • Marinated pork meat with marinate sauce
  • Transfer all the ready ingredients to the steam pot with soaked mixed rice grains, and put tomato at the middle.
  • Cut cheese into slices and top up at the tomato.  (Tips : Cross cut the top of the tomato so the cheese melt into it when steaming)
  • Lastly, top up with some dried parsley
  • Set timer to 1.5 hours and start steaming.

Cheesy Garlic Rice



Steam rice is my little dragon all times favorite.  Above is the picture illustration how I prepare this steam garlic rice.  

Ingredients :
Pearl rice
Garlic butter
Potato (cut into a thin slices)
Baby carrot (cut into thin slices)
Dried parsley
Natural cheese
Green peas

Method :
Put all ingredients to steam for 1 hour.

Tauhu Meatball Fish Soup with Hello Kitty Pasta 豆腐肉丸鱼汤KITTY猫意粉


Last weekend I've bought 1 kilo of the small fish to cook fish soup to my little dragon.  She love fish soup and pasta so much.  So I use the fish soup to cook the pasta for her dinner.  She was very happy to see the cartoon pasta with her favorite soup.  Here is the recipe for the fish soup :

Ingredients :
1/2 kilo small fish (any kind of small fish)
3 medium size tomatoes
1 big onion
2 chinese tauhu (cut into small cubes)
Salted vege
Ginger 
Water

Method :
Put all ingredients into a soup pan and let it cook for around one and half hours.

Pasta cooking method :
  • Cook pasta with plain water until 80% soften
  • Add in frozen meatball and continue to cook with the pasta
  • Dish up and drain off all the water
  • In another pan, transfer some fish soup as well as the ingredients of the soup i.e tauhu, tomato and bring to boil
  • Transfer the cooked pasta and meatball as well as some spring onion to the boiling fish soup.  Add in little light soy sauce (I use liquid amino) and sesame oil, stir and simmer for another 5-10 minutes.

Steam Chicken Fillet with Abalone Mushroom & Carrot 红萝卜鲍鱼顾蒸鸡肉丁



Today other than share my homemade food menu I would like to share with you the way I diversify the usage of my SEED Electric Lunch Boxes at home and fully utilized it.  Well, a lot of my customers ask me can they use their own ceramic steam pot to put at the lunch box to do steaming?  YES, YOU CAN!  From the picture illustration above, I use my own ceramic steam pot to put at the base of my SEED SD-966 to steam my rice at bottom tier, then I install an upper tier using my SEED SD-967 to steam my dishes at upper tier and I set it to 1.5 hours (i.e 1 and half hour) to steam together with my rice.  The dishes I use the ceramic steam pot of my SEED SD-920.  I cook longer time because I cook brown rice + grains.  You can either steam the dishes together with the rice for 1 hour and take out the dishes and let the rice continue to steam for another 30mins OR you can steam the rice first for 30mins, then install the tier and continue to steam the dishes at upper tier for another 1 hour together with the rice. 

The reason why i didn't use the mini steam pot which comes together with my SEED SD-966 is I unable to install the upper tier after put on the pot to the base, so I need to replace it with a shorter steam pot.

Well, now I'm goin to share my recipe for the menu today :

Ingredients :
Garlic
Small red onion
Carrot (cook in boiling water for 1 minutes, cut into small cubes and set aside)
Abalone mushroom (wash and cut into small pieces)
Chicken breast meat (cut into small pieces)

Rice grains (Brown rice, red lentils, buckwheat, quinoa)

Method :
  • Put all ingredients above except rice to a steam pot.
  • Wash and transfer the rice to another steam pot
  • Dishes steam for 1 hour, rice steam for 1.5 hours.

Chicken Glutinous Rice 糯米鸡

Today I make this recipe by using 2 different methods which is pan fried and without pan fried method using 2 different gadgets by SEED Electric Lunch Box SD-966 and Electric Warmer Cup SD-919 .  Let me introduce by using without pan fried method by electric warmer cup SD-919.  Below is the picture illustration as well as ingredients for this recipe :



Method & Ingredients A :
1 tsp sesame oil
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Liquid Amino / Light soy sauce
1/2 tsp oyster sauce
50g water
1/4 tsp dark soy sauce
Black pepper
(I didn't put rice wine in this recipe as this will be serve to my daughter 2 years old)

  • Put all the above Ingredients A to a clean bottle. Set aside
Method & Ingredients B :
40g Glutinous rice (Soaked overnight)

  • Apply sesame oil to ceramic cup (as per picture) put ingredient B and top up with the ready ingredients A in the bottle.
Method & Ingredients C :
1 small size fresh mushroom
1 small red onion
1 garlic cloves
Dried prawn
Boneless drumstick 
1/2 hard boiled egg


  • Cut all ingredients C except hard boiled egg into small cubes.
  • Transfer all ingredients C to the ready above 2 methods.
  • Set 加热 and cook for 1 hour.
(Tips : After done, pour out the excessive 20g gravy water.  Purpose I put more water and apply sesame oil to the cup is to prevent it burnt and easy to let it completely cook and take out after done as it is using cook method instead of steam cook.  By using this tips, it won't be burnt too much at the bottom as per the picture below.  **The dark color is the dark soy sauce**)



Well, now let me introduce u with pan fried method by using steam cook method by SEED Electric Lunch Box.  Below is the picture illustration :



Method & Ingredients A :
1 1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp Liquid Amino / Light soy sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
90g water
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
Black pepper
1/2 tsp rice wine
(I put rice wine in this recipe as this will be serve to adult)

  • Put all the above Ingredients A to a clean bottle. Set aside
Method & Ingredients B :
90g Glutinous rice (Soaked overnight)

  • Heat up pan with little grapeseed oil.  Pan fried glutinous rice in the frying pan for around 5 mins.  Dished up and transfer to ceramic mini steam pot of SD-966
Method & Ingredients C :
1 small size fresh mushroom
1 small red onion
1 garlic cloves
Dried prawn
Boneless drumstick 
1/2 hard boiled egg

  • Cut all ingredients C except hard boiled egg into small cubes.
  • Pan fried all ingredients except half boiled egg.
  • Pour in Ingredients A and simmer for a while.  Dished up. Separate gravy and meat.
  • Pour 90g gravy to the ready glutinous rice in the mini ceramic steam pot and top up with the cooked ingredients C.
  • Set to steam for 1 hour.
(Note : I didn't put more water as I use steam cook method by electric lunch box.  So the rice and water ratio is 1 : 1 i.e. 90g rice : 90g gravy water)

Cheesy Steam Rice with Fish Fillet & Egg



This is superb delicious steam rice.  Here is the recipe :

Ingredients :
Hard boiled egg (Cut into small pieces)
Fish fillet (Cut in cubes)
Garlic 
Small red onion
Garlic butter (optional)
Sesame oil
Pinch of salt
Black pepper
Dried parsley
1 slice cheese

Mixed rice grains - Pearl rice + Red lentils

Method :
  • Wash rice and put correct ratio of water.
  • Top up with all ready ingredients above and put into mini ceramic steam pot to steam for 1 hour as per picture above. ( I use my SEED SD-966  to steam cook it)

Peanut Lotus Root Pork Rib Soup 花生莲藕猪骨浓汤



Soup for the day for my LO.  

Ingredients :
Pork rib 
Lotus root
Peanut
Red dates
Goji berries
1 cup water
Pinch of salt (optional)

Method :
  • Soak peanut, red dates, goji berries.  Drain and set aside.
  • Pork rib wash and cook with boiled water for 3 mins, drain and set aside.
  • Put all ready ingredients to ceramic mini steam pot to cook for 1:30-2 hours.
I use my SD-966 mini ceramic steam pot to cook this soup for my LO as dinner tonight.

Chestnut Pork Meat Pot Rice 咸香栗子猪肉煲仔饭



I've sore throat so I didn't pan fried the ingredients in this recipe. Totally steam cook it and it still taste so good.  I use my mini ceramic pot for SD-966 to cook portion of 2 (1 adult and 1 toddler) for me and my daughter.  Here is the ingredients :

Ingredients :
Pearl rice
Garlic
Small red onion
Chestnut (Pre-cooked)
Dried prawn
Pork (marinated)

Marinated Sauce :
Sesame oil
Liquid Amino
Pinch of salt
Corn flour

Method :

  • Pre-cooked chestnut until soft.  Cut into small pieces
  • Rest of the ingredients wash and diced.
  • Put all ingredients into the mini ceramic steam pot to steam for around 1:30 hours.
Ratio for rice : water = 1 : 1

Pork Rib Chicken Leg Soup 凤爪猪骨浓汤



We need rush to airport pick up daddy and i need to make sure she will finish her dinner on time.  So I cook her this tasty soup to serve with rice cause all the times she love all her mummy's home cook soup.  I use my favorite mini ceramic steam pot of my good helper - SEED Electric Lunch Box SD-966 to cook this soup.  Here is the ingredients and recipe :

Ingredients :
Pork rib 猪骨
Chicken leg 凤爪
Peanut 花生
Black eye pea 眉豆
Red dates 红枣
Goji berries 枸杞

Method :
  • Wash pork rib and chicken leg bring to boil.  Drain and set aside.
  • Soak peanut, black eye pea, red dates, goji berries.
  • Transfer all well prepared ingredients to mini steam pot to steam cook for 2 hours.


Mushroom Fish Fillet Porridge



Super buzy these few days and unable to upload this tasty porridge recipe.  Well, i always love to use my SEED ceramic steam pot  to cook variety of foods for my little dragon.  Here is the recipe :

Ingredients :
Mixed grains rice (Pearl rice, red lentils, buckwheat)
Fresh mushroom
Cherry tomato
Spring onions
Fish stock (Fish bones, salted vege, tomato, ginger)

Seasoning (Optional) :
Sesame oil
Black pepper


Method :
Put all ingredients to ceramic steam pot except spring onions to steam for 1:30 hours.  After 1 hour, add in spring onions and continue cook for another 30 mins.
(Serve it by apply seasoning with it, but this is optional, even without it, it taste good too as the fish stock already made the porridge very tasty.)

Fish Fillet Mix Grains Cereal Porridge




This recipe I done using my SEED Electric Warmer Cup SD-919 .  Here is the ingredients and method for this recipe :

Ingredients :
Mix grains cereal
Fresh mushroom
Celery
Egg
Fish fillet
Fish stock (ingredients : fish bone, salted vege, tomato, ginger, celery)

Seasoning (optional) :
Sesame oil
Black pepper

Method :
Put all ingredients except egg and celery to electric warmer cup and set 加热.  When the porridge is boiling add in egg and celery, stir evenly and cook for few minutes until the egg was cooked.

Chestnut Chicken Pot Rice 栗子鸡肉煲仔饭


I love this recipe so much. This is superb yummy.  I have this together with my husband and 2 years old little dragon.  Below is the recipe and method I prepare this using my SEED SD-966 electric lunch box and the pot of SEED SD-921.  


Ingredients :
Chestnut (pre-cooked until soften)
Garlic
Small red onion
Dried prawn
Chicken 
Dark soy sauce (optional)
Rice (washed)

Marinate Seasoning :
Sesame oil
Corn flour
Pinch of salt
Black pepper
Oyster sauce
Light soy sauce

Method :
  • Pre-cook chestnut until soften, drain and set aside. Cut into small pieces
  • Cook all ingredients except rice until fragrant, add some water to make a little gravy as well as little dark soy sauce to make the color nicer.
  •  Dished up and separated gravy and ingredients.
  • Pour gravy to the rice pot. (Ratio for rice and water = 1 : 1) , and stir evenly.  Top up with all cooked ingredients.
  • Steam cook for approx 1:30 hours.
