Steam Chicken Fillet with Abalone Mushroom & Carrot 红萝卜鲍鱼顾蒸鸡肉丁



Today other than share my homemade food menu I would like to share with you the way I diversify the usage of my SEED Electric Lunch Boxes at home and fully utilized it.  Well, a lot of my customers ask me can they use their own ceramic steam pot to put at the lunch box to do steaming?  YES, YOU CAN!  From the picture illustration above, I use my own ceramic steam pot to put at the base of my SEED SD-966 to steam my rice at bottom tier, then I install an upper tier using my SEED SD-967 to steam my dishes at upper tier and I set it to 1.5 hours (i.e 1 and half hour) to steam together with my rice.  The dishes I use the ceramic steam pot of my SEED SD-920.  I cook longer time because I cook brown rice + grains.  You can either steam the dishes together with the rice for 1 hour and take out the dishes and let the rice continue to steam for another 30mins OR you can steam the rice first for 30mins, then install the tier and continue to steam the dishes at upper tier for another 1 hour together with the rice. 

The reason why i didn't use the mini steam pot which comes together with my SEED SD-966 is I unable to install the upper tier after put on the pot to the base, so I need to replace it with a shorter steam pot.

Well, now I'm goin to share my recipe for the menu today :

Ingredients :
Garlic
Small red onion
Carrot (cook in boiling water for 1 minutes, cut into small cubes and set aside)
Abalone mushroom (wash and cut into small pieces)
Chicken breast meat (cut into small pieces)

Rice grains (Brown rice, red lentils, buckwheat, quinoa)

Method :
  • Put all ingredients above except rice to a steam pot.
  • Wash and transfer the rice to another steam pot
  • Dishes steam for 1 hour, rice steam for 1.5 hours.

Chicken Glutinous Rice 糯米鸡

Today I make this recipe by using 2 different methods which is pan fried and without pan fried method using 2 different gadgets by SEED Electric Lunch Box SD-966 and Electric Warmer Cup SD-919 .  Let me introduce by using without pan fried method by electric warmer cup SD-919.  Below is the picture illustration as well as ingredients for this recipe :



Method & Ingredients A :
1 tsp sesame oil
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Liquid Amino / Light soy sauce
1/2 tsp oyster sauce
50g water
1/4 tsp dark soy sauce
Black pepper
(I didn't put rice wine in this recipe as this will be serve to my daughter 2 years old)

  • Put all the above Ingredients A to a clean bottle. Set aside
Method & Ingredients B :
40g Glutinous rice (Soaked overnight)

  • Apply sesame oil to ceramic cup (as per picture) put ingredient B and top up with the ready ingredients A in the bottle.
Method & Ingredients C :
1 small size fresh mushroom
1 small red onion
1 garlic cloves
Dried prawn
Boneless drumstick 
1/2 hard boiled egg


  • Cut all ingredients C except hard boiled egg into small cubes.
  • Transfer all ingredients C to the ready above 2 methods.
  • Set 加热 and cook for 1 hour.
(Tips : After done, pour out the excessive 20g gravy water.  Purpose I put more water and apply sesame oil to the cup is to prevent it burnt and easy to let it completely cook and take out after done as it is using cook method instead of steam cook.  By using this tips, it won't be burnt too much at the bottom as per the picture below.  **The dark color is the dark soy sauce**)



Well, now let me introduce u with pan fried method by using steam cook method by SEED Electric Lunch Box.  Below is the picture illustration :



Method & Ingredients A :
1 1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp Liquid Amino / Light soy sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
90g water
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
Black pepper
1/2 tsp rice wine
(I put rice wine in this recipe as this will be serve to adult)

  • Put all the above Ingredients A to a clean bottle. Set aside
Method & Ingredients B :
90g Glutinous rice (Soaked overnight)

  • Heat up pan with little grapeseed oil.  Pan fried glutinous rice in the frying pan for around 5 mins.  Dished up and transfer to ceramic mini steam pot of SD-966
Method & Ingredients C :
1 small size fresh mushroom
1 small red onion
1 garlic cloves
Dried prawn
Boneless drumstick 
1/2 hard boiled egg

  • Cut all ingredients C except hard boiled egg into small cubes.
  • Pan fried all ingredients except half boiled egg.
  • Pour in Ingredients A and simmer for a while.  Dished up. Separate gravy and meat.
  • Pour 90g gravy to the ready glutinous rice in the mini ceramic steam pot and top up with the cooked ingredients C.
  • Set to steam for 1 hour.
(Note : I didn't put more water as I use steam cook method by electric lunch box.  So the rice and water ratio is 1 : 1 i.e. 90g rice : 90g gravy water)

Cheesy Steam Rice with Fish Fillet & Egg



This is superb delicious steam rice.  Here is the recipe :

Ingredients :
Hard boiled egg (Cut into small pieces)
Fish fillet (Cut in cubes)
Garlic 
Small red onion
Garlic butter (optional)
Sesame oil
Pinch of salt
Black pepper
Dried parsley
1 slice cheese

Mixed rice grains - Pearl rice + Red lentils

Method :
  • Wash rice and put correct ratio of water.
  • Top up with all ready ingredients above and put into mini ceramic steam pot to steam for 1 hour as per picture above. ( I use my SEED SD-966  to steam cook it)

Peanut Lotus Root Pork Rib Soup 花生莲藕猪骨浓汤



Soup for the day for my LO.  

Ingredients :
Pork rib 
Lotus root
Peanut
Red dates
Goji berries
1 cup water
Pinch of salt (optional)

Method :
  • Soak peanut, red dates, goji berries.  Drain and set aside.
  • Pork rib wash and cook with boiled water for 3 mins, drain and set aside.
  • Put all ready ingredients to ceramic mini steam pot to cook for 1:30-2 hours.
I use my SD-966 mini ceramic steam pot to cook this soup for my LO as dinner tonight.
