Cheesy Broccoli Fish Fillet Steam Rice 起司西兰花鱼片蒸饭

I love this steam rice recipe so much.  My little girl doesn't like to eat vege.  However she love this recipe and willing to finish her rice.  I've cooked 2 portions (for my little daughter and I).  I need to control my blood sugar so I must eat Low G.I food such as vege and fish.  Of cause this rice I also use Low G.I Rice and after 1:30 hrs, my blood sugar still maintain in a very good level 5.4 mmol.

Well, here is the ingredients and picture illustration :

I couldn't find natural cheese, so this time I use processed cheese.  You can either stir fried the ingredients at stove by oil or by steam method also no problem.  It taste also good.

Ingredients :
Broccoli
Garlic
Fish fillet
Ginger
Water

4 tbsp rice (water ratio 4 tbsp water)

Marinate sauce :
Salt
Light soy sauce
Oyster sauce
Black pepper

Topping :
Cheese (Optional)

Stir Fried Method :
  1. Heat up oil and stir fried all the ingredients.  Add little water to cook until the broccoli turn soft and make some gravy.  Dish up and set aside.
  2. Get your rice to steam cook. I use my electric lunch box to steam for around 45mins.
  3. Transfer the cooked ingredients at method (1) to your rice and top up with a slice of cheese.  Cheese is optional ingredient.  Steam for few minutes until the cheese totally melted.
  4. Take out the steam rice from electric lunch box and mixed with spoon while it still hot in order to make the melted cheese coated to every single pcs of your rice.  It will taste so good!
Steam Method :
  1. Just put all ingredients and marinated sauce to a big pot.  Add a little water and oil as well.  Mixed it.
  2. Transfer to steam pot and steam for around 20 mins.  You can open to check it.  If the raw ingredients all cooked and soft before 20 mins, you can take it out earlier.
  3.  Transfer it to your cooked rice and top up with cheese to steam few minutes until the cheese melted.
Note :
I cooked separately the rice and the ingredients is to prevent my rice too wet.  It more easily to control by cook it separately.

Homemade Crayola Model Magic Dough

I bought a playdoh for my LO yesterday but the dough seems not enough for her.  Therefore, I make her 6 more cans of homemade dough.  I've google few recipes, and finally I pick this one.  I love the outcome as it is very light and it has a little glittering.  I didn't put any glitter powder at all.  I follow the recipe of this LINK.  Maybe you can try it out.

Cheesy Minced Meat Pumpkin Steam Rice

Pumpkin is a very healthy solid food for baby and toddler, unfortunately my daughter doesn't like it.  Everytime I cook pumpkin she refused to eat.  I've been trying variety recipe which involved pumpkin, but still unable to make her finish it.  Last night, I tried out this recipe, and so amazing, she feed herself and so fast finish it.  She requested me for somemore. Mummy, I want somemore... Wow...this is what I like to hear!  So I must share out this recipe.  As usual I cook with my electric lunch box with 2 ceramic remekin as I want to cook with different rice i.e brown rice for my daughter and low G.I rice for myself as I have diebetic during my pregnancy.

Ingredients :
2 tbsp brown rice
2 tbsp low G.I rice
(Water ratio is 1:1)

Pumpkin ingredients :
Garlic
Pumpkin (small cubes)
Minced meat
Unsalted butter / grapeseed oil (I use unsalted butter to stir fried)

Topping :
Natural cheese (I use cow head brand natural cheese in block type)
Sesame seeds
Black pepper

Method :
  1. Steam cook 2 different rice by 2 separated remekin
  2. Stir fried the pumpkin ingredients.  Add some water to make more gravy.  If you like the gravy texture be thicker, add some corn flour to water.  Simmer until the pumpkin turn soft.  Dished up and set aside.
  3. Transfer the pumpkin to cooked rice and top up with topping ingredients.

This is the low G.I rice for diabetic.  This is actually cooked rice which already air-dried.  So the texture won't be as sticky as other rice.  But after cook, it is soft too.

Stir Fried Minced Pork with Carrot 肉碎炒红萝卜

I make this rice bento to my little girl this morning and take it to her nursery as lunch.  She love to dine with her schoolmates instead of dine alone as at home.  She cough for almost a month and not recover yet.  So I make her bento by myself as her school always serve chicken and she will not get recover from cough if eat chicken and egg.  I sprinkle some nori flakes on her rice too.  She finish ALL.

I don't want to give her too much choice like main course, dessert, appetizer as she will not finish her main course.  She will priority the dessert and appetizer first.  After finish, she will be so full and won't be able to finish her main course.
