Chestnut Chicken Pot Rice 栗子鸡肉煲仔饭


I love this recipe so much. This is superb yummy.  I have this together with my husband and 2 years old little dragon.  Below is the recipe and method I prepare this using my SEED SD-966 electric lunch box and the pot of SEED SD-921.  


Ingredients :
Chestnut (pre-cooked until soften)
Garlic
Small red onion
Dried prawn
Chicken 
Dark soy sauce (optional)
Rice (washed)

Marinate Seasoning :
Sesame oil
Corn flour
Pinch of salt
Black pepper
Oyster sauce
Light soy sauce

Method :
  • Pre-cook chestnut until soften, drain and set aside. Cut into small pieces
  • Cook all ingredients except rice until fragrant, add some water to make a little gravy as well as little dark soy sauce to make the color nicer.
  •  Dished up and separated gravy and ingredients.
  • Pour gravy to the rice pot. (Ratio for rice and water = 1 : 1) , and stir evenly.  Top up with all cooked ingredients.
  • Steam cook for approx 1:30 hours.
