Cheesy Broccoli Fish Fillet Steam Rice 起司西兰花鱼片蒸饭

I love this steam rice recipe so much.  My little girl doesn't like to eat vege.  However she love this recipe and willing to finish her rice.  I've cooked 2 portions (for my little daughter and I).  I need to control my blood sugar so I must eat Low G.I food such as vege and fish.  Of cause this rice I also use Low G.I Rice and after 1:30 hrs, my blood sugar still maintain in a very good level 5.4 mmol.

Well, here is the ingredients and picture illustration :

I couldn't find natural cheese, so this time I use processed cheese.  You can either stir fried the ingredients at stove by oil or by steam method also no problem.  It taste also good.

Ingredients :
Broccoli
Garlic
Fish fillet
Ginger
Water

4 tbsp rice (water ratio 4 tbsp water)

Marinate sauce :
Salt
Light soy sauce
Oyster sauce
Black pepper

Topping :
Cheese (Optional)

Stir Fried Method :
  1. Heat up oil and stir fried all the ingredients.  Add little water to cook until the broccoli turn soft and make some gravy.  Dish up and set aside.
  2. Get your rice to steam cook. I use my electric lunch box to steam for around 45mins.
  3. Transfer the cooked ingredients at method (1) to your rice and top up with a slice of cheese.  Cheese is optional ingredient.  Steam for few minutes until the cheese totally melted.
  4. Take out the steam rice from electric lunch box and mixed with spoon while it still hot in order to make the melted cheese coated to every single pcs of your rice.  It will taste so good!
Steam Method :
  1. Just put all ingredients and marinated sauce to a big pot.  Add a little water and oil as well.  Mixed it.
  2. Transfer to steam pot and steam for around 20 mins.  You can open to check it.  If the raw ingredients all cooked and soft before 20 mins, you can take it out earlier.
  3.  Transfer it to your cooked rice and top up with cheese to steam few minutes until the cheese melted.
Note :
I cooked separately the rice and the ingredients is to prevent my rice too wet.  It more easily to control by cook it separately.
